Derek Chu is a Property Manager and Realtor at Prompton Real Estate Services. He oversees the day to day operation and leasing of residential rental properties across South Cambie, Olympic Village, Yaletown, and Kitsilano. Derek is a believer in proactive communication, working closely with tenants, strata councils, and vendors to ensure that buildings are not only well maintained, but genuinely a great place to live. 

Derek's background in property management began in the co-operative housing sector where he developed a foundation in community focused operations and tenant engagement. Since then, he has spent several years refining his expertise in lease administration, tenant relations, and maintenance coordination. He is currently pursuing a Diploma in Urban Land Economics and AACI (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute) designation. 

Outside of work, Derek enjoys snowboarding, cycling, and backcountry camping, often exploring British Columbia's outdoors.
